I have been asked to clarify the new agreement in terms of the increases in salary and health insurance contribution.  See below.

The teachers’ last contract expired in June of 2010.  The new agreement, to which we agreed in September 2011, increases salary and health insurance contributions as follows.

2010-2011 – 0% increase, health insurance contribution of 10% + $200
2011-2012 – 1% increase, health insurance contribution of 13%
                      Addition of new steps at 9A and 12A
July 2012 – 1.25% increase, health insurance contribution of 15%
                   No step movement 
February 2013 – Step movement

You start the school year, this year with an 1.25% increase on last year's step.  In February, your step will be in effect.

As a reminder, your negotiating team begins its negotiation with the District this school year.  We hope (and believe) we will be able to deliver a new contract before the current contract expires in June of 2013.

I have voter registration cards for you to complete if you are not registered to vote or if you need to update your name or address or party affiliation on your voter registration.  

Also, make sure that all voting-age members of your household are registered to vote.  I have voter registration cards for them, too!

I've heard complaints about the age of the photograph above.  Does anyone have a photograph with which to replace it?
