The deadline for registering to vote or changing your address with the New York State Board of Elections (in order to vote in the 2016 general election) is October 14. Make certain that you and all of the voting-age members of your family are registered to vote. If you have children away at college, nag them until they have completed the application for an absentee ballot or registered with their new address.
