Christina Reidel and I are going to George Latimer's district office in Port Chester on Friday, February 8.
George Latimer represents Senate District 37 in the New York State Senate (the district that includes Bronxville). He is also the Chair of the Senate Education Committee.
His staff indicated that he would particularly would like to meet with members from school districts with which he is less familiar: Bedford, Bronxville, Byram Hills, Eastchester, Katonah-Lewisboro, Tuckahoe, and Yonkers.
Some of the important issues we will be discussing are school aid, funding teacher centers, amending the property tax cap law, pension smoothing and supporting SUNY hospitals.
