This unprecedented action is having real results.
According to this mornings Quinnipiac poll:
"Gov. Andrew Cuomo gets his lowest grade on education (28%), which is the top priority for voters, a grade so bad it pulls down his whole job approval score" said Mickey Carroll, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll
Already the Albany political blogs are hitting the Governor hard:

Journal News Poll Supports Teachers
And the Journal News has put up a poll where 94% of respondents (out of over 800 so far) say you can't blame teachers and Cuomo's reforms to teacher evaluations don't make sense and relies too much on testing:
