The Retiree Council of NYSUT ED 15/16 is sponsoring two workshops on pre-retirement. They will be conducted on Thursday, April 23 and Tuesday, April 28 from 5:00-7:00 at the Tarrytown Regional Office.
One workshop will cover investments, social security and Medicare. There will be a speaker on maximizing retirement income. They'll also cover getting your legal house in order and a presentation on the retirement system by David Keefe, the retirees' delegate to the Teachers' Retirement System.
The cost for both workshops is $20 for a single person and $30 for a couple (spouses and others in legal document are welcome). There is a limit of 40 participants, so please reserve early (by April 10). The money collected is used by the retirees' scholarship committee to provide funds for deserving seniors in Westchester schools.
