The NYSUT Retiree Council is sponsoring two workshops on Pre-retirement. They will be conducted on Tuesday, October 22 and Wednesday, November 6 from 5:00-7:00 at the NYSUT Regional office in Tarrytown.
One workshop covers investments, Social Security, and Medicare. There will be a speaker on maximizing retirement income. The other workshop will be on getting your legal house in order. Michael Heffernan of Merkin and Gordon will be the presenter. There will also be a presentation on the Retirement System.
Cost for both workshops is $20 for a single person and $30 for couples. There is a limit of thirty people; you must reserve by October 15. The money collected will be used by the retiree council for purchasing school supplies for needy Westchester students. David Katz has the form to complete and submit.
